Community forests.
Forests in the UK are much more than a conglomerate of plants and bark; forests are considered a part of the entire society as well as part of the general community. This constitutes one of the most ambitious groups in the UK, the Community Forest organization that aims to provide a general educational program where the communities that surround and that are surrounded by the UK’s natural wilderness will take an additional step into the creation and maintenance of the natural life, both of plants and animals alike.
One of the issues that the organization targets is the regeneration of the forests so that the urban or human settlements are protected from natural events while at the same time provide with a beautiful environment in which their children will grow.
The organization partners with between the local authorities and the local, regional and national partners, naturally, in terms of national it is not the same Great Britain than Ireland or Scotland though they proceed similarly. Through this tired-less work the organization in conjunction with the government and the private citizens have replanted several thousands of woodland, and have interacted positively with several thousands more in terms of improvement, restoration, cleaning and raised several million pounds to continue with the organization’s efforts.
It will be a good idea for all of the UK residents to approach their local branch of the Community Forest organization and take part of this important effort to keeping UK’s forests beautiful and striving.
