* The club was originally formed in 1968 to provide help and financial
support to good causes and needy individuals.
* Serves the Bracknell Forest districts of Bracknell Town, Binfield, Newell
Green, Maidens Green, Winkfield, Winkfield Row, Cranbourne, Warfield,
Chavey Down, Easthamstead, Hanworth, and Crowthorne.
* Bracknell Forest Lions Club is a registered charity. Chartered by and
under the jurisdiction of the International Association of Lions Clubs.
* The Association of Lions Clubs was formed in 1917 and is the largest
"Service Organisation" in the world.
* The club regular meetings at the Waterloo Hotel, Dukes Ride, Crowthorne,

About The Members Of The Lions Club
Interesting statistics about our members and the activities they are involved
with include:
* Each member typically volunteers about 2 hours of their own free time
every month to help with fundraising activities.
* Members do not get paid for providing this help.
* Members are ordinary members of the public who want to give something
worthwhile back to their local community.
* Each club arranges occasional social activities for members unrelated
to fundraising. Members pay for these activities themselves.
* Members fund the ongoing administration of club membership via inexpensive
subscription, 100% of all fundraising contributions are invested in needy
causes.
* The Lions Club is open to men and women of all ages.
* There are roughly 1.4 million Lions Club members worldwide.....
