Great Western Forest

One of the many aims that community forests have in the UK is to provide a beautiful and peaceful environment for its residents as well as the children that live in them.  Each community has its own approach to keeping and maintaining the community forests so that the expense that having such a beautiful and vibrant place will be less for the government and the residents will feel a lot more obliged to keep it adequately provided since it is their own work and labour.

In the Great Western community forest, the main goal and vision to provide for the forest and keep it alive, well and blooming is to maintain it as a recreational park full of activities for the residents of the area as well as the neighbouring zones.  Among the different activities that the Great Western Forest provides include walking, cycling which are the local’s favourite physical activities in the outdoors, activities that can be enjoyed without any worry or problem inside the forest.

Still and despite these non-traditional activities that the government, the residents of the area and the Forest community organization have created to encourage residents to keep their forests safe, the Great Western Community Forest does not loose track that children are a very important part of the safety and continued caring and growing of the Forest. Therefore, children are encouraged to learn about it and enjoy it as much as grown ups.

There are many workshops created for children to enjoy and learn about the forest in the place where they live.
