Forest of Mercia
In the forest of Mercia the work never ends, and as a part of it, the population that is in charge of keeping the forest safe, secure, growing and blooming also take part on the education of the next generation through programs of education and of forest caring for children.
In these programs, children are guided by adults and other specially trained volunteers in the adequate way to care for plants and animals both urban and wilderness life. The Forest of Mercia is yet another forest created by the interaction between the government and the common folk through the mediation of the Community Forests covering 92 square miles of land that had no human use and that was being left out and abandoned in the outskirts of the South Staffordshire.
Naturally it is not only South Staffordshire residents who benefit from the Forest of Mercia Community Forest, the people that live in north of Wolverhampton and Walsall as well as Cannock Chase, Penkridge and Lichfield also benefit from all of this. This is the best evidence that people will benefit greatly from the merger of one NGO and the assistance of a willing government.
The people who care for the Forest of Mercia are aware that children are the hope for the future and that it is in their hands where humanity lies from the moment of their birth until they reach adulthood. And this perception is noted not only for the care and consideration that they put in the children’s education programs regarding nature and the environment but also in the way they act themselves in terms of caring for the forests.
